MY STORY.

My journey has never been about following a path simply because it was already established. It has been about questioning what I was told, researching what I did not understand, developing the skills I needed, rebuilding when life forced me to start again, and using what I have learned to create opportunities for others.

I am Harminder Singh Sandhu, professionally known as Jerry Sandhu. Today, I work across financial coaching, nutrition, trading education, entrepreneurship, mentorship and motivational speaking. I am also the Chief Architect of the Price-Based Trading methodology taught through Vision Freedom Academy.

The titles describe where I am today. They do not describe how I got here. That story began much earlier.

EARLY YEARS & THE ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET

From a young age, I was drawn toward business, independence and the idea of creating something of my own. I was never comfortable with the idea that there was only one acceptable route to success. I wanted to understand how opportunities were created and how a person could build a better future through initiative and effort.

That mindset eventually took me outside India. I first moved to Canada and later to Australia, where I had to rebuild my professional and personal life in a new environment.

AUSTRALIA

AUSTRALIA, TRUCK DRIVING & FAMILY RESPONSIBILITY

In Australia, I spent several years working as a professional truck driver. It was demanding work involving long hours, long distances, discipline and responsibility. More than anything, I saw the job as a way of supporting my family and creating stability.

I gave years of my life to that profession. I worked hard because I believed that dedication and consistent effort would provide security for the people who depended on me. Then my health began to deteriorate.

ADVERSITY & TURNING POINT

THREE BATTLES WITH CANCER

I faced cancer three times. During those years, my health became serious enough that continuing to drive a truck was no longer safe for me or for others on the road. Eventually, I had to leave the profession to which I had dedicated so many years.

One of the hardest realizations came after I stopped working. I had spent years giving my time, energy and dedication to my job, yet when my health prevented me from working, the income from that profession was not enough to comfortably sustain my family for even one or two months.

That realization changed the way I looked at work, income and financial security. I understood that hard work matters, but I also began to understand the importance of developing skills and financial capabilities that are not entirely dependent on exchanging time for income. I began looking beyond the conventional path. I took on other work, including delivery driving in Australia, while continuing to search for a better way forward.

HEALTH

THE HEALTH JOURNEY & NUTRITION

My third battle with cancer became a turning point. I began conducting deep personal research into nutrition, food and lifestyle. I studied what I was putting into my body, changed my diet and lifestyle, and continued learning.

That personal research ultimately led me to formal study and certification as a Certified Nutritionist. The experience left me with a principle that has stayed with me across every field I entered: question, research, understand, test and then act.

RESEARCH

DISCOVERING TRADING.

My next major chapter began with financial-market trading. Like most people entering the markets, I initially studied conventional time-based charts and familiar methods built around them.

"But I had a question I could not ignore: if price is the element that actually moves through a market, why should time be the primary framework through which price is studied?"

That question changed the direction of my research. I began looking beyond conventional charting and studying whether market behaviour could be understood through price itself.

PRICE-BASED RESEARCH IN TRADING

My research included working with the Trade Matrix System (TMS) and its price-based bars used in futures-market applications. I did not want to stop at simply using an existing representation. I wanted to understand the underlying data and determine what different price-based structures could reveal.

I tested and compared different data-series configurations, observed market behaviour across conditions, and continuously refined the framework through practical experimentation.

Through that process, I developed a unique data-series framework that became an important foundation of my Price-Based Trading methodology. I applied it directly to my own trading, tested it in real market conditions and continued refining it through experience.

FROM TRADING SKILL TO FINANCIAL TRANSFORMATION

As I became more experienced with the methodology, I began to excel in my personal trading. Trading became a major financial turning point in my life and generated substantial financial success.

That success changed my financial circumstances and gave me the ability to diversify. I expanded beyond trading into multiple businesses and continued developing as an entrepreneur.

Today, I operate as a multimillionaire entrepreneur, managing and developing multiple business interests across international markets. Trading was an important part of that transformation, but the development of a valuable skill, combined with discipline and continuous learning, made the difference.

FROM PERSONAL SUCCESS TO TEACHING

Teaching was not something that suddenly appeared after my trading success. I have always had a passion for teaching and mentoring. Earlier in my journey, I had already worked as an educator, including teaching IELTS and providing individual guidance to people planning to study or build a future overseas.

As I developed my trading methodology, I began sharing aspects of my journey and ideas through social media. People connected with the story of rebuilding a life after serious setbacks. They saw someone who had faced repeated adversity, questioned conventional thinking, developed a skill and created a different financial future.

That connection gradually brought more people into my teaching journey. I began mentoring individuals personally and sharing the knowledge and experience I had accumulated through years of research and practical trading.

VISION FREEDOM ACADEMY

Vision Freedom Academy was founded and developed under my guidance, educational vision and leadership. It represents the structured evolution of a teaching journey that began through individual mentoring.

I continue to serve as Lead Mentor and Trading Educator, with a focus on Price-Based Trading and practical market education.

The educational framework emphasizes price behaviour, price-based charting, market structure, trading methodology, risk management, trading psychology, discipline and practical execution.

"My objective is not simply to teach people how to place trades. I want students to understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, how risk works and how to develop independent thinking rather than dependence on signals or predictions."

Over the course of my broader teaching journey, I have taught and mentored more than 2,500 students.

I have personally sponsored the education of 80+ students who were genuinely motivated and financially in need. Where I sponsor a student through Vision Freedom Academy, I personally undertake the financial responsibility for the applicable educational fee so that the student can participate normally.

The student receives the same structured education, curriculum, learning environment and level of attention applicable to other students in that program.

I am a Certified Financial Coach and conduct personal financial coaching and consultation programs under my professional name. My coaching focuses on financial awareness, financial literacy, money management, financial discipline, goal setting, skill development and long-term financial capability.

Where I identify an individual who genuinely needs guidance but cannot afford professional coaching, I may personally provide that support without charge. My focus is on education, capability and informed decision-making.

My professional and educational journey has also been recognized through the confirmation of an Honorary Doctorate in the Financial Coaching and Wealth Education segment, in recognition of my professional achievements, educational contribution, mentorship, entrepreneurship and broader contribution to individuals.

My certification in nutrition grew directly from my health journey. The research I undertook into nutrition, food and lifestyle during my battles with cancer became a serious field of personal study and eventually led to formal certification as a Certified Nutritionist.

Nutrition, lifestyle discipline and wellbeing remain important parts of my broader philosophy of personal development.

MY EARLIER TEACHING & CONSULTING JOURNEY

My passion for education began well before Vision Freedom Academy. In 2005, I worked with Spectrum in India as an IELTS Professor and Trainer, helping students prepare for IELTS through structured instruction in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

Alongside teaching, I provided individual overseas education guidance and consultation to people considering study, work or future opportunities abroad. I helped individuals evaluate their goals and understand potential pathways and requirements for moving overseas.

That period established an important part of my identity: I have always enjoyed taking knowledge that can be difficult to understand and turning it into practical guidance that another person can use.

THE DISTINCTIVE DOCTORATE SEGMENT

The doctorate is associated with Financial Coaching and Wealth Education, a specialized intersection of financial education, coaching and wealth-development practice.

I would not describe the qualification as the world's only or one of the world's few doctorates in this segment unless the awarding institution provides an official, independently verifiable basis for that statement. The strongest presentation is to state the exact honorary doctorate title and the recognition for which it was awarded.

BELIEFS

MY PHILOSOPHY.

Across health, trading, entrepreneurship and education, one principle has remained consistent: I do not believe a person should stop at the first answer simply because it is the conventional answer.

I believe in questioning assumptions, researching deeply, developing exceptional skills, practicing with discipline, understanding risk and building the ability to think independently.

The objective is not merely to change circumstances for a moment. It is to develop the capability to create better circumstances repeatedly.

PURPOSE

THE LEGACY I WANT TO BUILD.

When I look back at the journey—from India to Canada, from Canada to Australia, from truck driving to rebuilding my health, from three battles with cancer to becoming a Certified Nutritionist, from financial uncertainty to trading, from trading to entrepreneurship, and from personal success to teaching—I see a common thread.

Every major change began with a willingness to question what already existed.

I questioned how I was living. I researched my health. I questioned conventional trading. I developed a different approach. I tested it myself. I built financial success. I diversified. I taught others. And when I gained the ability to create opportunities for people who genuinely needed them, I began using my own resources to do so.

My journey is still continuing. The goal is not simply to be remembered for the businesses I built, the money I made, or the titles I received. The greater goal is to leave people with knowledge, capability, confidence and an opportunity to build something better for themselves.
